Kinding Sindaw started FY2023 with weekend workshops and rehearsals to prepare for its off-Broadway production entitled Posaka AKA Heirloom at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. This production was partially funded by a grant from the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families geared towards addressing anti-Asian bias and associated mental health burden using the performing arts as an intervention. Kinding Sindaw continued this work throughout FY2023 with its workshops and community performances. Upon final review of FY2023 Kinding Sindaw received over 180,000 in grant funding from a variety of sources, including local arts councils, NYC government-based agencies, private foundations, and NYS government agencies.
