GLPGP designs, finances and implements large-scale sustainable transitions to clean household fuel to replace dependence on solid fuel, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.GLPGP completed a major study for KfW, the German Development Bank, entitled Rwanda National LPG Master Plan. On June 1, 2021, GLPGP, with its sister organization, BioLPG LLC, each signed a License Agreement with the Gas Technology institute (now doing business as GTI Energy) to commercialize the development of BioLPG using its Cool LPG technology and to raise significant funding for its R&D. Substantial funds were raised and technology progress has been made. On October 13, 2022, Loughborough Univer3sity and GLPGP entered into an agreement for GLPGP to write a BioLPG study, namely: BioLPG P3roduction at Scale in SSA: Key Elements needed for its Development and Efficient Use as a Clean Cooking Fuel. The project was completed during 2023. On June 17, 2021, the National Institute of Health agreed to provide financial support to pursue the development of Implementation Science for Clean Cooking to reduce air pollution. During 2023 GLPGP spent down the remaining funds. In 2023 GLPGP was in discussions with the African Retailers and Distributors Association (ARDA) to develop a $1 billion fund to further the use of LPG in Africa.
