Serve as technical advisor and resource provider to Your Children's Trees at UCSB, an all student operated and officially recognized campus organization dedicated to restoration of natural areas on campus with the growing, planting and caring of native trees. Students serve as trainers during volunteer planting events, and during educational events at local elementary schools. We use 10 different interactive exhibits to interest students in the fields of math and science. During our weekly and sometimes biweekly events, we planted 204 trees with 996 participants providing for 3265 service hours and caring for 921 trees. We also conducted 9science night events working with approximately 1800 students, parents and staff.

Assist in the training and socialization of boys 13 to 17 serving as wards of the Santa Barbara County Probation Department located at the Los Prietos Boys Camp. We help boys to reintegrate into society through weekly outdoor programs involving greenhouse tree growing, nursery tree production, and planting trees. The number of boys entering the program is declining and the camp is scheduled to close in 2023. Southern California Edison has been a primary financial sponsor of this program.
