PRINCIPAL PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING 2022 INCLUDE EXCAVATIONS IN THE VICINITY OF THE MEMORIAL CHURCH AND IN THE AREA BEYOND THE NORTHERN BULWARK OF THE 1607 FORT; AN ASSESSMENT OF THE LANDWARD AREA ADJACENT TO THE HISTORIC SEAWALL RELATED TO MITIGATING THE THREAT TO THE SITE POSED BY CLIMATE CHANGE; THE INSTALLATION OF TWO NEW EXHIBITS IN THE VOORHEES ARCHAEARIUM MUSEUM FEATURING (1) BIOARCHAEOLOGY AND (2) ARTIFACTS RELATED TO GENTLEMEN SOLDIERS OF EARLY JAMESTOWN; AND CONTINUING THE REORGANIZATION OF JAMESTOWN'S COLLECTIONS AND UPDATING OF THE DIGITAL CATALOG. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNIVERSITIES OF CONNECTICUT AND LEICESTER, UK, FORENSIC AND GENOMIC RESEARCH WAS PURSUED ON A HIGH STATUS INDIVIDUAL DISCOVERED IN THE CHANCEL OF THE 1617/18 CHURCH.ONSITE LIVING HISTORY PROGRAMS AND PUBLIC TOURS FOCUSED ON THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE GREAT POWHATAN ATTACK OF 1622 AS WELL AS RECENT ARCHAEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES. ONSITE ARCHAEOLOGY, EXHIBITS, PUBLIC TOURS, PRESENTATIONS, AND LIVING HISTORY PROGRAMS WERE SUPPLEMENTED BY ONLINE MATERIALS INCLUDING FRESH WEB PAGES, AND VIDEOS.
