Education and outreach-To ensure that Veteran, Service Members and their spouses have continued access to effective trauma therapy our organization is steadfast in its commitment to heal from trauma, including PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma. VRP is committed to educating the community, employers who hire Veterans, and the broader military network about the profound impacts of trauma, while fostering hope that healing is possible. In 2024, VRP expanded its outreach team to include three Outreach Coordinators, each dedicated to building strong partnerships across the state and ensuring that Veterans in rural communities receive the support they deserve. Our efforts reached new heights as we participated in over 100 events and engaged more than 12,000 community members with information about our services. VRP is also enhancing its outreach strategies through a robust social media presence, an updated website designed for ease of access and education, and specialized training programs on trauma-informed leadership for organizations. Together, we are creating a ripple effect of resilience and change, ensuring that every Veteran, Service Member, and spouse knows they are not alone on their journey to healing.

Therapy Program . In response to the growing demand for services, VRP introduced a dedicated Care Coordinator in 2024 to guide clients through the intake process and provide continuous support throughout their therapeutic journey. VRP delivered over 1,000 EMDR Therapy sessions in 2024, with the average client experiencing a remarkable 60% reduction in PTSD symptoms. This outcome further reinforces he substantial body of research supporting the effectiveness of EMDR therapy. Notably, VRP expanded its reach to rural communities, where access to effective mental health care can be limited. The impact of our work is evident, as current and former clients have become some of our most trusted sources of referrals, a testament to the trust and effectiveness weve built. Due to a continual increase of clients VRP added a dedicated Care Coordinator in 2024 that works directly with the clients to ensure they are supported during the intake process and throughout the therapeutic experience. In 2024, VRP provided over 1000 EMDR Therapy sessions with the average client seeing their PTSD symptoms decrease by 60%. This outcome supports the significant research already provided on EMDR. In 2024 we significantly increased the number of Veterans, Service Members, and Spouses we provided care for in rural communities where at times there is less access to effective care. Our Therapy program works to support both the therapists and clients throughout the process and has established a strong system, so much so that current and former clients are becoming one of our strongest referral resources. Furthermore, VRP offers invaluable support to EMDR Therapists through initiatives such as the Advanced EMDR Military Therapy Training and monthly consultations, all provided free of charge. In line with this commitment, VRP expanded its therapy network in 2023, reaching a milestone of 50 EMDR therapists across Minnesota, each equipped with a deep understanding of Military culture and the unique needs of Veterans and Service Members. Importantly, 50% of these therapists offer Telehealth services, ensuring that individuals in rural communities receive the support they require. This concerted effort ensures that VRP continues to fulfill its mission of serving those who have served. In 2024, we successfully hosted two training courses, adding over 20 new therapists to our network, bringing our total to 60 highly skilled professionals across Minnesota. This specialized training equips therapists with the unique military competencies required to effectively work with Veterans, Service Members, and their families, while simultaneously enhancing their EMDR therapy skills. Beyond the core training, therapists also received specialized instruction on Military Sexual Trauma (MST), ensuring they are fully equipped to address the complex needs of those who serve or have served. Additionally, once therapists join the network, they are offered free monthly consultations, providing ongoing clinical support and fostering continuous professional development.
