ebuild Altadena Pilot Project / Altadena Wildfire Recovery. In 2025, Compton Community Development Corporation, doing business as Altadena CDC, began wildfire recovery and rebuilding readiness work for the Altadena community. The organization received a legislatively directed state allocation administered through the California Department of Housing and Community Development to support the Rebuild Altadena Pilot Project. Because the funds were received near year-end, 2025 activities focused primarily on initial project planning, recovery coordination, implementation readiness, stakeholder engagement, and preparing systems to support rebuilding, housing stabilization, anti-displacement, and long-term community resilience. Most project funds remained unspent at year-end for implementation in 2026.
