Stage And Screen Innovations, founded in 2014, is a micro nonprofit in the Arts, Culture & Humanities sector that reported $1K in total revenue in fiscal year 2025.

Mission

Stage And Screen Innovations works to expand modes of artistic expression, to enhance culture, promote diversity of thought, and to empower original creators to reach the public. We do this primarily through the Virtual Theatrical program which explores new modes of storytelling as technology advances, and the Producing Unique New Creators (PUNC) program, for skills development. These are hands-on programs aimed at under-served communities and groups of aspiring talents normally overlooked by the system.

Producing Unique New Creators program - skills development for early career producers from underrepresented and under served communities. This program provided direct hands-on training on actual productions intended for commercial audience, this year for 6 people. Of those, one went on to obtain an significant position at the major television show TMZ, another obtained award nomination for her film at the Austin Horror Film Festival, one has created a third season of a new unscripted show, and another was appointed to a senior support position in a nascent film studios. This is very, very high rate of success for a program that is run entirely on a volunteer and in-kind donation basis.

Virtual Theatrical (VT) Program - this is a new creator program that bridges the gap between traditional performance and storytelling, and modern, evolving technology. The VT program preserves the importance of theater and narrative expression, while it explores and encourages the expansion of these vital cultural arts into the environment of the new millennium. The VT program is aimed at identifying and empowering emerging talent from underrepresented groups and communities, whose voices are most often passed over, or who otherwise have no access to such experiences. VT has several projects at various stages of development which are designed to create new modes of expression among live audiences, and for wider media expression. VT has the support of established writers and directors who wish to mentor the next generation of voices, and who value the diversity of thought that original, human-centered storytelling can foster across society. At this time VT is entirely volunteer supported. In 2025, VT has successfully developed three projects, all ready for production in 2026. Development is a demanding process of script development and technical design. In 2026, the VT program will be able to expand into production and performance.
