In Fall 2024 Girls Youth Basketball GYB ran a highly successful basketball league for over 240 girls in grades 3 through 8. The league provided structured age-specific divisions focusing on skill development physical fitness and teamwork. Players received coaching from experienced volunteers and participated in weekly games officiated by certified referees. Emphasizing sportsmanship and leadership the league fostered a positive environment for young athletes to grow both on and off the court. Additionally GYB hosted a special guest speaker event featuring basketball legend Cynthia Cooper-Dyke who shared her inspiring journey and insights into achieving success both in sports and life.

In Spring 2024 Girls Youth Basketball GYB operated a community-based basketball league serving over 200 girls in grades 3 through 8. The league offered age-specific divisions skill development opportunities and structured team competition aimed at fostering physical fitness confidence and leadership. Participants received weekly coaching from trained volunteers and competed in scheduled games officiated by certified referees. The season emphasized sportsmanship teamwork and personal growth providing girls with a safe and supportive environment to learn and excel both on and off the court. A special highlight of the season was a guest speaker event featuring a representative from the UNLV Womens Basketball team who spoke to the players about their college basketball experiences and shared inspiration on perseverance academic success and athletic achievement.

In November-December 2024 Girls Youth Basketball GYB hosted the Winter Academy Camp designed for 30 girls in grades 5 through 8 looking to excel their advanced basketball skills in a competitive team-oriented environment. The camp offered intense focused training in areas such as shooting ball-handling defense and teamwork. Participants engaged in daily drills scrimmages and team-building activities aimed at improving individual skills while fostering a strong sense of cooperation and leadership on the court.
