ON MARCH 23, 2015, MELROSE COMMONS HDFC WAS INCORPORATED PURSUANT TO THE PRIVATE HOUSING FINANCE LAW AND THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION LAW, BOTH OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, TO PURCHASE PROPERTY. THE CONSTRUCTION CLOSING OCCURRED IN JUNE 2016, AT WHICH TIME THE BRIDGE INC., THE ORGANIZATION'S SPONSOR, STARTED CONSTRUCTION OF A 59-BED RESIDENCE THAT WILL PROVIDE SUPPORTED HOUSING FOR HOMELESS MENTALLY ILL ADULTS WITH PREFERENCE FOR VETERANS. AT THE TIME OF THE CLOSING, MELROSE COMMONS HDFC TRANSFERRED OWNERSHIP TO THE MELROSE COMMONS SUPPORTIVE LIMITED PARTNERSHIP.
