The Refuge Enrichment Community Center Inc provided food assistance to families and individuals experiencing food insecurity in Flagler County and surrounding communities. Monthly food distributions included essential pantry items, canned goods, and fresh produce, when available. Due to limited funding and volunteer support, we were only able to serve approximately 15 families in NC and 20 FL families in 2024, significantly fewer than projected. Purpose & Outcome: This service addressed immediate hunger needs and supported vulnerable populations including seniors, single-parent households, and the unemployed. We remain committed to expanding this outreach through future grants and community partnerships.

The Center offered life coaching, personal development, and job-readiness coaching as part of its commitment to workplace empowerment and self-sufficiency. Participants received one-on-one guidance in resume building, goal setting, and basic employment readiness skills. However, due to minimal financial and staffing resources, outreach was limited to a small number of individuals in 2024. Purpose & Outcome: Despite the limited scale, this service laid the foundation for broader career development programming in the future. Participants expressed increased motivation and clarity in their career paths. Plans are underway to implement a structured Workforce Development Program in 2025.

In addition to regular monthly food distributions, TRECCI conducted seasonal outreach during holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) to provide emergency meal boxes and holiday-specific groceries to families in need. Due to financial constraints, we operated with restricted quantities and could not serve all families requesting support. Purpose & Outcome: This special initiative aimed to bring relief and comfort to struggling families during high-need times. Though our reach was modest, it made a significant difference for those we could assist. We anticipate securing additional partnerships and sponsors to expand holiday outreach next year.
