The mission of Everybody Matters School Based program is to help people thrive emotionally when life gets hard. We do this by teaching coping and social skills to children who would otherwise not be able to access support. Founded in 2015 by former school social worker Lori Madrid, Everybody Matters uses a proprietary model to provide social emotional support to vulnerable students who would not otherwise have access to care. To that end, Everybody Matters utilizes college level interns trained in the Everybody Matters Proprietary Model to provide social emotional support to students for a fraction of the cost of hiring clinicians to provide this same service. Everybody Matters served 1,426 students, providing 13,558 face to face contacts last school year. In the most recent survey, 97.8 percent of teachers reported that they would recommend this program to their peers. Specifically, the Everybody Matters Proprietary Model trains highly qualified college level interns to meet with students individually or in groups over a period of at least eight weeks to address social emotional concerns. During the 2025 fiscal year, these interns utilized a wide variety of evidence-based intervention strategies to address behaviors that may indicate a lack of self-management, self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making or emotional regulation. Although the services are not considered psychotherapy, using many different evidence-based modalities is beneficial for a number of reasons, primarily because it recognizes that no two students are alike and that the intervention options should be as diverse as the client's requesting intervention.

Our other program, Everybody Thrives, serves the general population. Starting in 2020, we provide short term, generally 4 to 8 sessions, focused, strength-based methods to remind clients of their unique strengths and help them find new solutions in those difficult times. We believe clients are the experts in their own life and the guiding force to change. Working together, we use Solution Focused Brief Therapy strategies to enhance their existing skills, increase fluency in new skills, and provide a framework that helps them succeed. Everybody Thrives provides supportive prevention services to people using psychoeducational and skills-based approaches. We believe that everyone has skills and abilities that they may not be using to their full potential. We use a present and future focused approach to help people embrace their internal strengths as well as identify community strengths that may be beneficial to them in reaching their goals. We provide our services in office or via a secure Telehealth platform that is HIPAA compliant. Our clinicians can meet with clients during the day and in the evening hours as well. Virtual services make getting help so easy as clients can log on from anywhere even from the comfort of their own home.
