2025 RURO PROGRAM SERVICES & ACCOMPLISHMENTSREACH UP REACH OUT OVERALL MISSIONReach Up Reach Out (RURO) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that engages individuals in compassionate outreach by providing care and long-term support to orphans, widows, and other vulnerable people in developing nations. RURO fulfills its mission through four primary programs, which continued in 2025 in honor of the life and legacy of our founders' son, Caleb, who was the catalyst for RURO's inception:Worship & Arts Camp + Conference: From June 11 to June 26, 2025, RURO hosted a mission trip to Uganda, where a team provided a creative summer camp experience for over 250 orphans and street children. The trip also included a graduation ceremony for 48 RURO Sisterhood graduates and an empowerment conference for over 1,000 widows and underserved women living in extreme poverty. The team collected video updates and personally checked in with scholarship recipients for children and women.Christmas Around the World Guatemala: In December 2025, RURO served over 1,000 children in Antigua, Guatemala, through Christmas outreach activities including crafts, soccer, food baskets, and gifts. The mission strengthened ongoing partnerships with three local nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable communities.RURO Child Education Sponsorship Uganda & Kenya: RURO provided ongoing educational support for vulnerable children, covering tuition, meals, medical care, and school supplies. By the end of 2025, the program will have served 284 children, with 145 actively receiving scholarships during the year.RURO Sisterhood Sponsorship Uganda: Through a 12-month training and business development program, RURO empowered widows and vulnerable women to launch self-sustaining enterprises in tailoring, handicrafts, food service, and agriculture. In 2025, 48 women received scholarships, and a total of 331 women have completed the program since its inception.Additionally, RURO supported the following U.S.-based nonprofit organizations aligned with our mission: 2819 Church: Support for faith-based ministry and outreach programs serving communities in need.National Immigration Forum: Advocacy and resources supporting fair and compassionate immigration policies and services.Redeemed Life Church: Support for ministry initiatives serving local and international communities through faith-based outreach.One Hope Florida: Organization dedicated to connecting churches and community partners to serve vulnerable children and families.St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital: Support for pediatric research and treatment for children facing life-threatening illnesses.Watoto Ministries: A ministry focused on caring for vulnerable children and empowering women in Uganda through education, discipleship, and community development.RURO remains committed to sustainable, faith-driven programs that bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to underserved communities worldwide.
