THE FOUNDATION HOPES TO PROVIDE CATALYST FUNDING FOR INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT CAN LEAD TO FUTURE FEDERAL FUNDING. IDEAS FOR RESEARCH FUNDING WILL BE SOLICITED FROM GLAUCOMA CLINICAL AND BASIC SCIENCE RESEARCHERS. GSEF WILL ALSO PURSUE OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR EYE CARE PROVIDERS, RESEARCHERS' TRAINEES.
