In 2024, Unloop made meaningful progress in supporting formerly incarcerated individuals pursuing tech careers. In partnership with Victory Code, we completed a 6-month software engineering bootcamp at no cost to participants, training 14 individuals in software development fundamentals. Each participant gained hands-on experience with GitHub, LinkedIn, and technical tools, supported by 16 volunteer mentors and over $16,000 in financial assistance. Participants celebrated major milestones: one participant graduated from Centralia College and completed the Next Chapter program; one participant advanced in the Microsoft LEAP interview process; one participant enrolled in a Data Center Technician program. Others took on contract work, including live web design projects and published design templates. We deepened industry partnerships through company visits and mock interviews with Stripe and continued engagement with Microsoft LEAP. With over $41,000 raised for tuition, housing, and reentry support, and ongoing backing from the Department of Commerce and Congresswoman Jayapal, we're building lasting pathways to opportunity.
