In the fiscal year 2023-2024, The Westerlies performed over 60 concerts across 22 states, and reached over 25,000 audience members along the way. The ensemble presented the world premiere of Conrad Tao's Concerto for Westerlies with the Orlando Philharmonic under the baton of Eric Jacobsen, and continued touring with longtime collaborators Fleet Foxes, Aoife O'Donovan, and Haley Heynderickx. The ensemble continued their dedication to music education as small-ensemble-in-residence at the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music of The New School in New York, NY, in addition to presenting workshops and masterclasses at University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS), Metro State University (Denver, CO), St John (USVI), University of Iowa (Iowa City, IA), Northwestern University (Evanston, IL), and more. In May of 2024, the organization presented its sixth annual Westerlies Fest in Seattle, Washington, presenting three nights of music featuring singer-songwriter Samora Pinderhughes, jazz trio tilt, and The Westerlies. Additional program highlights include The Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles, CA), Freshgrass (North Adams, MA) The Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.), Shalin Liu Performance Center (Rockport, MA), White Eagle Hall (Jersey City, NJ), The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center (Brookfield, WI), Stoughton Opera House (Stoughton, WI), Matinee Musicale (Duluth, MN), Tippet Rise (Fishtail, MT), and The Argyros (Ketchum, ID).
