RESEARCH PROGRAMSTHE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED THE FOLLOWING RESEARCH PROGRAMS IN 2023:THE BLUEPRINT FOR OHIO'S ECONOMIC FUTURE: THE BLUEPRINT FOR OHIO'S ECONOMIC FUTURE IS A COMPREHENSIVE REPORT THAT FOCUSES ON THE KEY AREAS FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT FOR THE STATE OF OHIO. BASED ON THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE BLUEPRINT, THE OHIO CHAMBER WILL LEVERAGE THE REPORT TO PROVIDE POLICY SOLUTIONS THAT WILL DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE STATE FOR DECADES TO COME. (PROGRAMS CONTINUED IN SCHEDULE O)OHIO TAX BENCHMARKING ANALYSIS: THE OHIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RESEARCH FOUNDATION, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ERNST & YOUNG, CONDUCTED A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF OHIO'S TAX LANDSCAPE. THIS IN-DEPTH STUDY PROVIDED DETAILED COMPARISON OF OHIO'S STATE AND LOCAL TAXES WITH SIX PEER STATES. THIS STUDY HIGHLIGHTS THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLEXITIES OF OHIO'S TAX SYSTEM. THE FINDINGS UNDERSCORE THE NEED FOR POLICYMAKERS AND BUSINESS LEADERS TO WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE A TAX ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS ECONOMIC GROWTH AND COMPETITIVENESS.ECONOMIC IMPACT HOUSING STUDY: THE COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY PARTNERED WITH THE OHIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RESEARCH FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. WITH PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER AND PROJECT-BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE, THE EFFICACY OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMS NEEDS TO BE CONTINUALLY ASSESSED TO ENSURE THE RIGHT INVESTMENTS ARE BEING MADE BY ALL STAKEHOLDERS FROM GOVERNMENT TO PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS. THE STUDY ALSO AIMED TO HELP STRATEGY ON HOW TO ADDRESS THE GROWING DEMAND FOR WORKFORCE HOUSING ACROSS THE STATE.
