Microsanctuary Resource Center (MRC) had a very successful fiscal year in 2019-2020. Our major program of micro-grants provided over 100 small grants to individuals and non-profit organizations, totaling $83,949, which is our largest grant total to date. We expanded our grant program to reach additional sanctuaries, including our Microsanctuaries of Color fundthe only sanctuary support program focused specifically on people of color. Beyond our micro-grants, MRC offered ongoing support and mentorship to rescuers and sanctuaries around the world through one-on-one counseling and administering a number of social media discussion groups. To this end, we dedicated resources to advising rescuers and caregivers where possible. Our outreach was primarily geared towards mentorship and sharing information for caregivers, and we co-sponsored an online summit.
