This activity includes vaccinating, spaying/neutering and providing other veterinary care to adoptable animals. Fostering homeless animals until they are ready to be placed in a permanent home, requiring supplies and medical care. During 2025, our program adopted approximately 1140 animals.

OUTREACH - In 2022, Heart of America Humane Society added an Outreach Team. That team goes out into the community and educates people on responsible pet ownership and provides basic pet supplies to families in need. During 2025, our Outreach Team assisted and aided 1530 animals in our community.

Altering these cats will help control the number of unwanted litters of kittens in the Greater Kansas City Area. In 2025, this team altered approximately 1064 cats.
