In 2024 we presented 7 main stage events, a three-day film festival, a free large-scale outdoor puppet theater for families and kids, and 2 larger community events, Kidstock!and the Emerging Voices Pride Fest, 10 workshops focused on rural arts and crafts, 7 theater and film workshops for children and youth, 5 gallery exhibitions and receptions,artist talks, and a free after-school program at Delaware Academy, Delhi. We sponsored two concerts in Veterans Park, Stamford. The performers were the Sweet Adelines and Terry Branigan.Our volunteers put in a total of 462 hours to help make the season a success. In 2024,attendance increased by 25% compared to the previous year. Our children and youth programs had an overall attendance of 1040 people. 200 of those were from the Stamford and Worcester area. Our family festival KIDSTOCK! brought in a crowd of over 300. Our youth theater program grew to 91 participants.Overall in 2024 we served 2,720 residents and visitors; and hosted 135 artists and program contributors of diverse interests, backgrounds, and age groups. Three of our concerts were sold-out shows. Our audience consists of community members of all ages and income levels.We presented a variety of performers; from a young Colombian band expanding Afro Caribbean music, a Puerto Rican LGBTQ+ band for a Pride celebration, emerging country singer Kassi Valazza, the legendary jazz band Sun Ra Arkestra, and local musician the Bones of JR Jones. We organized our first film festival which included submissions from Oneonta to Iran. Our Shakespeare in the Valley, in its 38th season, was bigger and better this year. We expanded our youth workshops with a teen filmmaking workshop.
