In November 2019, the KCAC began providing 10 artist studio spaces to tenants at below market cost. This opportunity has provided artists with low cost and safe studio space which they can access 24/7/365. These studios give artists space to grow and create their business as they endeavor to become career artists.

Audience education on the importance of arts and the support of artists in our community is another key role of KCAC. We work to support and build awareness of contemporary art and its fundemental role in the growth of a vibrant Kansas City community. This is achieved through making all our programming and exhibitions free and accessible to the public as well as working with marginalized communities to hold place and space in our gallaries.
