The organization oversees the activities of 11 sports organizations in the McLean area involving over 6,000 participants from ages 5 through 18. These sports include: basketball, field hockey,, lacrosse, rugby, track, volleyball, wrestling, squash, fencing, flag football, and tackle football. Each sport is headed by a voluntary sport chair. The chair is assisted by many volunteers including coaches, schedulers, and overseers of the sports activities. Each sport chair is a member of of the MYA Board of Directors. The MYA Board oversees the adminiatration to provide guidance, training, scholarships, as well as, oversight of insurance, registrations, and administrative assistance to ensure safe and well run sports programs across the organization.
