PREVENT CHILD ABUSE DELAWARE (PCAD) IS DELAWARES STATE LEAD AND EXCLUSIVE GRANT RECIPIENT OF THE FEDERAL COMMUNITY-BASED CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION (CBCAP) GRANT, CURRENTLY OVERSEEN BY THE FEDERAL ADMINISTRATION FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. AS SUCH, PCAD GRANTS OUT MONIES TO SELECTED ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS OR INITIATIVES DEMONSTRATE PRIMARY PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, AND WHICH ENGAGE IN FAMILY STRENGTHENING OR RESILIENCE. AS THE STATES LEAD GRANTOR, PCAD SERVES AS THE GRANT MONITOR AND PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THOSE SUBGRANTEES WHO REQUIRE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT.
