SPECIFIC SCIENCE AND MATH SKILLS FOR COMPETENCE AND EMPLOYABILITY IN THE SCIENCES2. COLLEGE-PREPARATORY ACADEMIC SKILLS NECESSARY TO ENTER TOP COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES3. "POST-INDUSTRIAL" SKILLS NEEDED IN TODAY'S WORKPLACES, INCLUDING SMALL-GROUP INITIATIVE AND SELF-MANAGEMENT, TEAMWORK AND USE OF OTHER TECHNOLOGIES, AND4. LEADERSHIP SKILLS, PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT IN LARGE-SCALE SCIENTIFIC ENDEAVORS, SUCH AS THE CREATIVITY, INITIATIVE AND SCIENTIFIC TEAMWORK REQUIRED ON MANY NASA, ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, STEM CELL RESEARCH AND HIGH-ENERGY PHYSICS PROJECTS.
