The North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) is a Model United Nations conference for high school students which takes place annually in February. February 2025 marked the 62nd iteration of the conference. NAIMUN draws roughly 3000 high school students from around the country and world to participate in 40 committees, each designed to enhance students' understanding of a given international affairs topic. Some committees simulate actual organs of the United Nations, while others focus on smaller governing bodies or corporate boards across a wide array of historical timelines. Each of these simulations provides its participants with a chance to enhance their research, public speaking, and critical thinking skills as they work in pursuit of a common problem. NAIMUN is staffed by roughly 250 Georgetown University student volunteers.

The GIRA Global program oversees a series of partnerships with foreign universities and organizations to facilitate Model UN conferences around the world. Some of these endeavors involve sending Georgetown University staff volunteers to staff other institutions' Model UN conferences while others involve GIRA staff working directly with other universities to develop new Model UN programs. GIRA receives a portion of the revenue from the programs it is involved in facilitating and at times receives a licensing fee from its partners as well as covered expenses.
