Mission

IN FY 2024, DANCE PLACE PROUDLY HOSTED 60 EVENTS ON OUR BROOKLAND CAMPUS, WELCOMING 4,751 ARTS ENTHUSIASTS TO EXPERIENCE OUR DIVERSE PRESENTATION SERIES. OUR ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM PROVIDED 371 HOURS OF REHEARSAL AND DEVELOPMENT SPACE, SUPPORTING 38 LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL ARTISTS. THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, WE WERE HONORED TO COLLABORATE WITH AND ENGAGE OVER 500 ARTISTS AND CREATIVE PARTNERS. OUR EDUCATION DEPARTMENT CONTINUED TO THRIVE, WITH OVER 4,122 ADULT CLASS PARTICIPANTS AND 1,775 YOUTH CLASS PARTICIPANTS AND 14 TEACHING ARTISTS WHO MAKE THIS WORK POSSIBLE. OPERATING SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FOR MOST OF THE YEAR, OUR STUDIOS REMAINED A VIBRANT HUB FOR LEARNING AND ARTISTIC GROWTH. ADDITIONALLY, WE PROVIDED $55,439 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENSURE ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION ACROSS OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS. NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT OUR DEDICATED STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS. WITH A CORE TEAM OF 12 FULL-TIME STAFF MEMBERS, OUR WORK IS FURTHER STRENGTHENED BY THE INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS OF OUR VOLUNTEERS, WHO COLLECTIVELY DONATED OVER 2,000 HOURS OF SERVICE.
