The Links, Incorporated established the HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Facet in response to the chronic disparities that persist. This year, there was virtual participation in the DMV Links Red Dress event. This event takes place during the month of February and focuses on raising awareness for women's heart health. This event was in partnership with the American Heart Association. The HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Facet also participated in the Walk for Healthy Living, a national event, that promotes healthy habits and self care. The HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Facet participated in the Black Family Wellness Expo, a national event, which is designed to reduce health disparities for disadvantaged families of color. The expo offered CPR training, blood pressure checks, COVID test kits, live exercise demonstrations and more to the community.
