On October 2nd, World Day for Farmed Animals (WDFA) is an annual global day of action dedicated to exposing, mourning, and memorializing the more than 65 billion farmed animals that are bred, raised, and killed for food around the world. Public Advocacy: FARM's EdLetters program has been linking the benefits of a plant-based diet and vegan lifestyle to current news developments or national holidays. Each of the more than 15 letters per year are published in more than 75 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada potentially reaching millions. Planet Series Events: The annual festivals celebrating green living reached thousands of attendees while promoting plant-based eating.
