The National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCCAP), under the auspices of NAADAC, operates as an independent body for all matters involving the Association's addiction counselor credentials and endorsement opportunities at the national and international levels. Established in 1990, the NCCAP develops and promulgates standards for testing, including who qualifies for the exams, content administration, scoring and appeals.
