MARRIOTT, BRIDGES FROM SCHOOL TO WORK COLLABORATES WITH LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AGENCIES TO RECRUIT AND ENROLL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AGED 17 TO 24, ALL WHO RECEIVE A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, INCLUDING ASSESSMENT, EMPLOYABLITY SKILLS INSTRUCTION, MENTORING, JOB SEARCH, CAREER COUNSELING, AND APPLICATION AND resume ASSISTANCE. SERVICES AIM TO CULMINATE IN JOB PLACEMENT AND 12 MONTHS OF POST-HIRE FOLLOW-UP. SINCE INCEPTION, BRIDGES FROM SCHOOL TO WORK HAS CONNECTED OVER 22,000 YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES TO COMPETITIVE, INTEGRATED JOBS WITH MORE THAN 5,200 EMPLOYERS, LARGE AND SMALL, ACROSS A WIDE RANGE OF INDUSTRIES. ON AVERAGE, 80% OF PARTICIPANTS OBTAIN JOBS AND 80% RETAIN JOBS FOR AT LEAST 90 DAYS.
