THE ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY COORDINATES THE PLANNING OF A TRIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY. DOSIMETRY IS THE MEASUREMENT OF IONIZING RADIATION. RADIATION DOSIMETRY IS STUDIED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT, RADIATION AREA WORKERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC FROM THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF IONIZING RADIATION SUCH AS X-RAYS AND GAMMA RAYS. THE CONFERENCE IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF ISSUES RELATED TO SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY, A MECHANISM FOR PRESENTING RESEARCH IN THE FIELD, AND A MEANS OF ADVANCING THE STUDY OF SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY. THE LAST CONFERENCE WAS HELD AT PISA UNIVERSITY IN VIAREGGIO, ITALY. THE NEXT INTERNATIONAL SOLID STATE DOSIMETRY CONFERENCE WILL TAKE PLACE IN JUNE 2025, IN MEXICO CITY, MEXICO.
