ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES COMMENCED IMMEDIATELY UPON NEON'S FORMATION ON MARCH 17, 1997, AND HAVE CONTINUED THEREAFTER. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY BEFORE THE U.S. CONGRESS, REGULATORY ADVOCACY BEFORE THE FEDERAL EXECUTIVE BRANCH AND STATE GOVERNMENTS, AND INFORMATION SHARING ON ISSUES OF CONCERN TO NEON MEMBERS AMONG THE MEMBERSHIP AND WITH POLICY MAKERS, THE PRESS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. TO WORK WITH THE GOVERNMENT ON TAX MATTERS RELATING TO WORK CREDITS, INCENTIVES AND OTHER MATTERS THAT HAVE A BEARING ON PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS.
