Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program awards nineteen $5,000 and one $6,250 scholarships per year for four years to high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence and exemplify strong leadership skills both in sports and within their communities. The Foundation also awards twenty-nine $5,000 and one $10,000 scholarships to employees of Foot Locker, Inc. and its subsidiaries. The criteria for awarding these scholarships is the same as for the external programs but further limited by the guidelines in Rev. Proc. 76-47. Officers and directors (and their children) of the Foundation or of Foot Locker, Inc. are not eligible for the internal program. The Foundation engages a third party to develop and manage the scholarship process.
