THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED BY THE PRESIDENT & FELLOWS OF HARVARD COLLEGE IN DECEMBER 2004 TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE THROUGH RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ACTIVITIES RELATED TO HEALTH CARE, LIFE-SCIENCES AND MEDICINE, WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON PROGRAMS OF HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL THAT ADDRESS THE IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTH CARE DELIVERED TO PEOPLE WITHIN THE EMIRATE OF DUBAI, THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES AND COUNTRIES IN THE SURROUNDING REGION.
