THE SOCIETY'S PROGRAMS PROVIDE SERVICES TO MORE THAN ONE MILLION MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDENTS AND THEIR PETS, AS WELL AS HOMELESS ANIMALS IN OUR COMMUNITY. ITS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ARE FUNDED THROUGH FUNDRAISING EVENTS, INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS, GRANTS AND PROGRAM REVENUE. SPECIFIC SERVICES INCLUDE THE RESCUE OF HOMELESS ANIMALS AND THEIR CARE, WHICH INCLUDES PREVENTIVE CARE AND TREATMENTS, VETERINARY CARE AND OTHER MEDICAL TREATMENTS AS NEEDED; SPAY/NEUTER; SOCIALIZATION; AND ADOPTION INTO NEW HOMES. SERVICES FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS INCLUDE LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER AND VACCINES, SAFETY NET SERVICES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND HUMANE EDUCATION.
