Military and veterans programs assist active-duty military, veterans, and their families in overcoming barriers to well-being by addressing their needs in mental health and in transitioning to civilian employment. Current service offerings include employment support for veterans and military spouses, military family mental healthcare, and family respite, as well as available childcare and adult day care that welcome military family members. In FY25, more than 650 veterans and their family members met their mental health goals, over 350 family caregivers alleviated stress and anxiety, and nearly 800 veterans or spouses were coached to find meaningful employment through our programs.

Early child development and education services remove barriers to children's success in school, as well as family well-being. Programs include three Child Development Centers, which provide high-quality early childhood education that prepares children for success in kindergarten and beyond. Each center is nationally and locally accredited to the highest standards. In addition, our Early Head Start and Head Start programs serve Ward 5 of Washington, DC; two communities in Prince George's County, Md., and the Gaithersburg area of Montgomery County, Md. Together, our early education programs promote school readiness for more than 500 children. Additionally, Easterseals operates a robust Early Intervention program, which works with parents of children under age 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities. According to our most recent assessment, 100% of children in the program improved their developmental skills by the time they turned 3.

Adult and senior day services remove barriers to the well-being of adults with disabilities and their caregivers. Provided through three centers, our Adult Day Services provide a cost-effective alternative to nursing homes or other alternatives for adults with disabilities and seniors. Services include medical care, supervision, health-promoting activities, health monitoring, and curb-to-curb transportation. Each center creates a safe, home-like environment complete with skilled medical professionals and caring staff. In the last year, 97% of participants reported an improved quality of life. ADS also offers peace of mind to their families; in FY25, 160 caregivers were able to maintain their employment or attend to their own needs, knowing their parent, sibling, or spouse was in good hands.
