SINCE 2006, CASPCA HAS CONSISTENTLY MAINTAINED A 90% OR HIGHER LIVE RELEASE RATE, DEMONSTRATING OUR COMMITMENT TO POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR EVERY HEALTHY AND TREATABLE ANIMAL IN OUR CARE. AS THE CONTRACTED PUBLIC SHELTER FOR CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ALBEMARLE COUNTY, WE OFFER A BROAD SPECTRUM OF SERVICES DESIGNED TO REDUCE SHELTER INTAKE AND IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR PETS AND THE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR THEM.IN 2024, CASPCA: PERFORMED 5,021 SURGERIES ADOPTED OUT 2,884 PETS REUNITED 397 LOST PETS WITH THEIR FAMILIES TRANSFERRED IN 1,216 AT-RISK ANIMALS FROM SHELTERS ACROSS VIRGINIA DISTRIBUTED OVER 33,000 POUNDS OF PET FOOD TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED ACHIEVED A 96% LIVE RELEASE RATEOUR VISION IS A FUTURE WHERE EVERY ANIMAL THRIVES WITHIN A COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY. WITH THE ONGOING SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY, WE CONTINUE TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF COMPANION ANIMALS AND THE RESIDENTS OF CHARLOTTESVILLE AND ALBEMARLE COUNTY.
