The educational needs for Hospices & Palliative Care (VAHPC) continued to offer educational programming and engagement in a virtual format throughout 2021 to ensure ongoing member support throughout the continued pandemic. The VAHPC offered virtual, structured educational programs to members on at least a monthly basis. Through the VAHPC, members of the Association had access to discounted training resources and more than 150 live and on-demand educational webinars.

The VAHPC faciliated monthly member calls to provide an open forum for hospice and palliative care providers, clincians, and allied professionals to come together virtually and share challenges and best practices related to the provision of hospice and palliative care services and managing staffing and operational needs in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a continued effort to find remote ways of carrying out the Associations mission, the VAHPC also worked with Skyways Media to produce and mail an End-of-Life Planning Guide to member hospice and palliative care organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Administrative and Management of the Association - The VAHPC maintained administrative and general operational expenses within budgeted levels in 2021.
