(1) Research and Education Projects: the Foundation develops new educational programs, promotes the value of senior care and consultant pharmacy services, and enables continued innovation. (2) Education of Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacists (BCGP): ASCPF is involved in the education of board certified geriatric pharmacists. This certification represents the highest level of credentialing for pharmacists that practice with older adults. (3) Senior Care Pharmacist Directory: ASCPF has developed a platform to house a database of pharmacists with expertise in senior care. Under our mission, three key objectives: education for the public, providing an easy to use platform for the public, and promoting training and resources to senior care pharmacists are being achieved. Directory enrollment continues to expand representing 50 states, Puerto Rico and the armed services. There is at least one pharmacist with a license to practice in each state. The directory has been positioned in front of the public at health care meetings and using social media to link patients and pharmacists. (4) Education Advisory Committee: the ASCPF supports the Education Advisory Committee (EAC) of ASCP. This has a long-standing history as one of the most productive committees within ASCP, a group of volunteers that help the ASCP education staff strategy for the annual meeting with the ASCP and other educational offerings. EAC members represent a diverse cross section of the membership to ensure the needs of our diverse membership are met.
