HEART FOR ORPANS, INC. OPERATED SEVERAL TRANSITION HOMES FOR TEEN ORPHANS IN UKRAINE. ORPHANS IN THE FORMER SOVIET UNION HAVE TO LEAVE THE ORPHANAGE AFTER NINTH GRADE, AND MOST OF THEM END UP AS ADDICTS, IN PRISON, OR SOLD TO SEX-TRAFFICKERS. OUR HOMES ARE SMALL AND FAMILY-LIKE, AND TEACH TEENS WHO HAVE ONLY EVER LIVED IN AN INSTITUTION HOW TO LIVE WITH LOVE, RESPECT, AND DIGNITY. SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN 2007, OVER 350 TEENS HAVE LIVED IN OUR HOMES FOR 2-3 YEARS. MOST HAVE GONE ON TO LIVE PRODUCTIVE LIVES. WE ALSO HAVE A TEEN MENTOR PROGRAM IN UKRAINE, AND AN ORPHAN OUTREACH PROGRAM IN UKRAINE AND KENYA.
