VPE also provided funding for Professional Development through the Teachers of Promise Institute's Annual Conference. In 2023, VPE provided Grants, Scholarships, and Professional Development to 468 Virginia educators.

2) VPE Provides Support, Counseling, and Professional Assistance for Virginia's Educators. (Teachers, Counselors, & Other School Staff): In 2023, VPE provided Direct Support and Professional Assistance to 555 Virginia educators who were dealing with legal, administrative, academic, medical, and/or health & safety issues in the classroom. Such assistance often involves many hours of staff support for each case, and usually requires that a director and a case manager be assigned to each educator in need. As necessary, a mentor or an attorney may also be assigned to assist the educator. In 2023, VPE provided general support to over 5,854 of our member-educators in Virginia.

3) Informing Teachers of Their Existing Legal & Professional Rights under current law; Explaining School Board Policies and State Board Regulations; Providing Affordable Legal & Liability Protection for Virginia's Educators as a Member Benefit: In 2023, VPE provided legal support and professional educators liability coverage for approximately 5,854 Virginia educators. VPE also exists to help inform and make all Virginia educators aware of their general legal and professional rights under current law. This awareness and public information campaign includes helping teachers understand their "freedom of association" rights and their right to join a non-union, professional teacher association. Furthermore, in 2023 VPE provided this information to over 51,000 Virginia educators.
