COMMUNITY COUNTS HELPS CREATE NONTRADITIONAL SOLUTIONS TO THE UNIQUE CHALLENDGES FACING COMMUNITIES ACROSS YAVAPAI COUNTY. COMMUNITY COUNTS IS AN UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION WHICH ESTABLISHES AND MANAGES COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT SERVE YOUTH, INDIVIDUALS, AND FAMILIES. PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE:(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)- SUICIDE PREVENTION: CONNECTS PEOPLE TO THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO PREVENT THE COMPLETION OF SUICIDE. PROVIDED SUICIDE PREVENTION EDUCATION AND AWARENESS TO OVER 10,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS, THROUGH COORDINATION OF THE YAVAPAI COUNTY SUICIDE PREVENTION COALITION.- KINSHIP CONNECTION: PROVIDES RESOURCES TO GRANDPARENTS, EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS, AND CLOSE FAMILY FRIENDS WHO ARE RAISING CHILDREN THAT ARE NOT BIOLOGICALLY THEIR OWN.- COMMUNITY GARDENS: AN ORGANIC GARDEN FOR PRESCOTT VALLEY RESIDENTS THAT OFFERS PLOTS FOR RENTERS, PRODUCES FRESH VEGETABLES FOR DISTRIBUTION TO AREA RESIDENTS AND PROVIDES A GARDENING EXPERIENCE THROUGH EDUCATION AND VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION. PROVIDED OVERSIGHT AND SUPPORT TO OUR PRESCOTT VALLEY COMMUNITY GARDEN (OPVCG), RESULTING IN THE DONATION OF 200 POUNDS OF PRODUCE PRODUCED THROUGH OPVCG TO LOCAL FOOD BANKS OF YAVAPAI COUNTY.
