THE HOSPICE OF THE FISHER HOME IS PROUD TO BE RATED BY MEDICARE AS THE ONLY FIVE-STAR HOSPICE IN WESTERN MASS. THE HOSPICE'S LOVING STAFF CARES FOR END-OF-LIFE PATIENTS IN HAMPSHIRE, HAMDEN, AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES. THE HOSPICE IS PASSIONATE ABOUT HELPING PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES NAVIGATE THEIR END-OF-LIFE. CARE IS PROVIDED IN VARIOUS SETTINGS, WHETHER IN THE PATIENT'S HOME OR AT THE HOSPICE'S 9 BED RESIDENCE IN AMHERST; THE ONLY HOSPICE RESIDENCE IN WESTERN MASS. FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS THE HOSPICE HAS OPERATED THE HOSPICE SHOP OF THE FISHER HOME. THE HOSPICE SHOP SELLS DONATED CLOTHING AND GOODS. ALL PROCEEDS ARE USED TO SUPPORT HOSPICE CARE. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE OIN 2023, IN ORDER TO ENSURE PATIENT AND STAFF SAFETY, THE HOSPICE OF THE FISHER HOME ELECTED TO CEASE ITS RESIDENTIAL CARE FOR THREE MONTHS TO UNDERTAKE CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS.
