The primary purpose of the Organization was to provide job development, job placement, situational assessment, on-the-job training, job coaching, job accommodation, and other rehabilitative employment services to qualified participants with various physical, as well as mental, disabilities.The Organization provided these services through employment of program participants in janitorial, maintenance, mail and courier services to various governmental agencies as well as some commercial entities throughout north central West Virginia, including Charleston, Clarksburg and Fairmont. However, Effective December 31, 2024, Job Squad, Incorporated and Workable Industries, Incorporated merged under a single governance structure. The merger was accounted for in accordance with ASC 958-805, Not-for-Profit Entities - Business Combinations, as a uniting of interests. Accordingly, the assets, liabilities, and net assets of Workable Industries, Inc. were combined with those of Job Squad, Incorporated at their carrying amounts as of the merger date.The merger was undertaken to strengthen program capacity and administrative efficiency by combining two organizations with similar missions that provide rehabilitative employment and training services for individuals with disabilities.
