THE BUCKSKIN COUNCIL BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA ("THE COUNCIL") SERVES VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA, OHIO AND KENTUCKY FROM ITS SERVICE CENTER IN CHARLESTON, WV. THE COUNCIL HAS FIVE CAMPING FACILITIES. THE COUNCIL IS DEVOTED TO PROMOTING THE ABILITY OF BOYS, GIRLS, YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TO DO THINGS FOR THEMSELVES AND OTHERS, TRAINING THEM IN SCOUTCRAFT, AND TEACHING THEM PATRIOTISM, COURAGE, SELF-RELIANCE, AND KINDRED VIRTUES, USING THE METHODS WHICH ARE NOW IN COMMON USE BY THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA.
