DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025 THE PROGRAM ASSISTED 9 FAMILIES IN RISING ABOVE THE POVERTY LINE, FACILITATED EMPLOYMENT FOR 6 FAMILIES, HELPED 16 FAMILIES SECURE BETTER JOB POSITIONS, ENABLED 2 FAMILIES TO OBTAIN JOBS WITH MEDICAL BENEFITS, AND SUPPORTED 2 FAMILIES IN FINDING STABLE HOUSING. EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EFAP): EFAP IS DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF FAMILIES EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITIES IN ALAMANCE COUNTY. HOUSEHOLDS EXPERIENCING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS QUALIFY FOR FOOD ASSISTANCE THROUGH EFAP. HOUSEHOLDS WILL RECEIVE EMERGENCY FOOD WHICH MAY INCLUDE A THREE-DAY SUPPLY OF NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS (90 DAYS). SPECIAL DIETARY FOODS MAY BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
