LIVING POWER, NCRGEA'S MAGAZINE, WAS SENT TO OVER 66,000 MEMBERS FOUR TIMES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, EITHER BY US MAIL OR ELECTRONICALLY (OVER 3,300 ELECTRONIC MAILINGS PER ISSUE). THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUES MAILING NEWSLETTERS TO ALL NEW RETIREES FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF THEIR RETIREMENT, WHETHER THEY JOINED THE ASSOCIATION OR NOT. ADDITIONALLY, THE NEWSLETTER IS MAILED TO CITY AND COUNTY MANAGERS, HR PERSONNEL, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND COMMUNITY COLLEGES. PERTINENT INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THE NEWSLETTER FOR STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT RETIREES INCLUDE UPDATES ON NORTH CAROLINA LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS, PENSION INFORMATION, STATE HEALTH PLAN INFORMATION, UPDATES ON MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY, AND OTHER ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE FOR THESE RETIREES AND PROSPECTIVE RETIREES. NCRGEA'S MEMBER OUTREACH DURING THE FISCAL YEAR INCLUDED FACE TO FACE DISTRICT CONFERENCES HELD IN THE FALL OF 2024 AND SPRING OF 2025. MORE THAN 800 JOINED US IN LOCATIONS IN DURHAM, GREENVILLE, STATESVILLE, AND RALEIGH. THREE LOCAL OUTREACH ASSOCIATES HELD APPROXIMATELY 4-6 MONTHLY LOCAL MEMBER EVENTS AND ATTENDED HR FAIR MEETINGS ACROSS THE STATE. LOCAL HR DEPARTMENTS WERE CONTACTED TO SHARE WHO IS NCRGEA WITH THEM. IN ADDITION TO FACE TO FACE MEETINGS, RGEA EXTENDED MEMBER OUTREACH TO INCLUDE MONTHLY EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS, AND ACTIVITIES. MORE THAN 7,500 MEMBERS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ONE OR MORE OF THESE OPPORTUNITIES.
