Community Health ClassroomIn alignment with our mission to build a healthier community, Healthy Charlotte Alliance launched its annual signature educational program, the Community Health Classroom, in 2006. This initiative is designed to inform the community about timely and relevant health topics through in-depth programming. Each year, the event features presentations by leading health experts. This years program, titled Impact of the Arts on Brain Health and Healing, explored how the arts contribute to cognitive well-being and recovery. The Community Health Classroom provides a more comprehensive exploration of topics than our monthly Lunch and Learn sessions.Annual MeetingThe Annual Meeting serves as a valuable opportunity to bring together our membership for both education, celebration, and social connection. This year, we were honored to feature former healthcare executive Katie Kaney, who spoke on the intersection of medicine and public health. The event also celebrated our award recipients and grantees, culminating in the presentation of grant awards.Lunch and Learn Programs Lunch and Learns focus on specific health topics and feature medical experts who provide insights and perspectives on those issues.
