ON JULY 1, RMH OF CHAPEL HILL FORMALLY MERGED WITH RMH OF DURHAM & WAKE TO FORM RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF THE TRIANGLE, A PARTNERSHIP THAT HAD BEEN UNDERWAY FOR TWO YEARS. ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS REMAIN OPEN, AND GROWING. WE HOSTED 482 FAMILIES FOR 6,810 NIGHTS OF HOSPITALITY AT RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE FROM JANUARY THRU JUNE 2023. IN ADDITION, OUR RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOM AT UNC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL HOSTED 643 RESPITE VISITS FOR FAMILIES OF SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN. 2023 ALSO CULMINATED IN THE ORGANIZATION OF A NEW IN-HOSPITAL PROGRAM AT UNC, THE RONALD MCDONALD HOSPITALITY KIOSK, DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE FAMILIES OF BABIES IN THE UNC NEWBORN CRITICAL CARE CENTER. ALL PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED TO FAMILIES OF SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN AT NO COST, THANKS TO THE GENEROUS PARTNERSHIP OF OUR VOLUNTEERS AND DONORS.
