Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care, dba Mercy Urgent Care provided patient care equating to 85,459 visits for FY24 which included Worker's Comp Injury Visits, Employer Paid Services and privately paid patient visits. Our 8 locations collectively provided $32,669 in free or reduced care (cost basis) through our compassionate/charity care program and wrote off $655,943 in bad debt. Of the 85,459 visits that SOMUC saw throughout FY24, 14,930 or 17% were services provided to employers in western North Carolina. Our employer service outreach provides assistance to local employers for workplace incident management, screening, and testing to assist companies to be in compliance and have a healthier workforce.
