NC PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAMTHE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THAT A HIGH-QUALITY PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE IS PROVIDED FOR 490 ELIGIBLE FOUR-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN IN THE COUNTY. THE ALAMANCE PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN CONTRACTS WITH ALAMANCE BURLINGTON SCHOOL SYSTEM, REGIONAL CONSOLIDATED SERVICES HEAD START, AND LOCAL, PRIVATE EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTERS TO OPERATE PRE-K CLASSROOMS. ALL SITES HOLD 4-OR 5-STAR LICENSES AND CLASSROOMS HAVE 1:10 STAFF/CHILD RATIO.
